Audition Details
Callbacks will be August 11th. First read-thru is Thursday, August 13th.
The audition does not require any prepared material. It will be a cold reading from the script. Please bring a current photo and a list of any schedule conflicts between August 20th and the show weeks in October. Rehearsals are held Monday, Tuesday & Thursday nights unless extra rehearsals are called.
Cast requirements are 11 men (all ages, some are minor parts) and three women (two are elderly characters).
Abby Brewster- F- late 60's a sweet little darling
Reverend Harper-M- 45-60 concerned father to Elaine
Teddy Brewster -M- 40's Resembles Theodore Roosevelt
Officer Brophy- M- 25-40 Kind, devoted husband
Officer Klein -M- 25-40 Friendly, loves to tell a good story
Martha Brewster -F- late 60's-70's Abby's Sister, a sweet darling, too.
Elaine Harper-F- 20-30 Reverend's daughter, dating Mortimer, a bit worldly.
Mortimer Brewster-M- late 20's-40, dashing and handsome
Mr. Gibbs-M- 30-70 terse and lonely
Jonathan Brewster- M- late 30's sinister. Resembles Boris Karloff
Dr. Einstein- M- Mid 50's ratty and alcoholic. Speaks with a German accent.
Officer O'Hara-M- 30's Eager, a bit dense
Lieutenant Rooney- M- 45-65 tough, driving, dominating
Mr. Witherspoon-M- 70's tight-lipped disciplinarian
